  The Youth Herald
Mahoning County
's 4-H  Newsletter
May 2005

Dear 4-H Family and Friends,

As spring comes to a close, we begin to see an increase in 4-H activities.  The first horse show of the season is this weekend.  Dates have been set for project judgings and competitions for this year.  Rachel Stanwood has returned from a successful experience at Buckeye Leadership Workshop and six more 4-H members are looking forward to attending state 4-H camps in the coming months.  Hopefully all 4-H’ers are involved in their projects and are looking forward to summer happenings.  Look in the rest of this newsletter for details of upcoming events.

I would like to thank those families who have contributed so far to the 4-H program through the $10 activities fee plan.  We need support from the local community to fund Mahoning County 4-H through 2005, regardless of the result of the sales tax issue.  For information on how else you can help, call the Extension office at 330-533-5538.

Sincerely,

Janice Hanna, Extension Educator
4-H Youth Development
