![]() Classes teach participants about nutrition, meal planning, food shopping and food safety. The target audiences for the program are adults with limited resources. The Family Nutrition Program is sponsored by a grant of the Midwest Region Food and Consumer Service, United States Department of Agriculture. How Can I Participate in the Family Nutrition Program? You
may contact your local Extension office for a listing of programs and
classes
being offered in your county. All programs are offered to clientele on
a nondiscriminatory basis. Is This You? A survey was done a few years ago to determine what people
wanted and
needed from a nutritional program. Four main problems were
uncovered
that pointed out why so many of us find it hard to change 1. It takes extra money and time to purchase and prepare
healthy 2. The family doesn't like to try new or different foods (casseroles). 3. Lack of interest of skill in cooking. 4. Lack of knowledge about healthy foods. Do any of these answers sound familiar? Are you frustrated over your families eating habits? Would you like some ideas to help you get a quick, nourishing meal together? The FAMILY NUTRITION PROGRAM can help. It offers meal planning, shopping tips, recipes, left-over ideas, proper storage and safe food handling suggestions. Best of all- this program is free! It is sponsored by the Ohio State University Extension, Noble County Office. If you have any questions or need assistance in any of these
