OSU Extension is  made up of several different program focus areas. Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, Agriculture and Natural Resources and Community Development.

2009 OSU Extension Restructuring plan

OSU Extension has been undergoing a restructuring of the organization since spring 2009. The reorganization is based on OSU Extension’s strategic plan released in May 2008. The Fiscal Year 2009 rescissions led to a more rapid implementation because of the need to reduce personnel expenses to address state budget challenges at the same time the restructuring process began. Many elements of the restructuring model are well underway at this time. The model helps OSU Extension consolidate our efforts now, but also offers flexibility to expand our services as we receive additional funding in the future.
