Dear 4-H Family:

Last year the 4-H Committee took on a new project, the Clover Café (former Grange Food Stand) and we are asking for your support to make it a success during the fair. It was quite successful thanks to all your support. We are hoping to count on you again.

We realize many of you are already so busy! If every family would be willing to donate 3½ hours of their time during fair week, we will be able to staff the stand along with the help of several other individuals who have already volunteered to assist with the Clover Café.

Some of our goals for the project last year were:

    • To offer quality, healthy, reasonably priced food at the fair, (SUCCEEDED!)
    • To provide an opportunity for our 4-H members and families to work together, (SUCCEEDED!)
    • To supplement 4-H program costs, (ex. – recognition, activities, promotional items and trainings) (ON-GOING)
    • To assist with fairground improvements that are utilized by Jr. Fair, (RECEIVED GRANT TO UPGRADE KITCHEN IN CAFÉ)
    • To maintain and improve booth exhibit space, (ON-GOING)
    • To keep the Jr. Fair office maintained and add a ramp for easier access to physically challenged and elderly people. (SUCCEEDED THANKS TO THE CARPENTER UNIONS FOR THEIR LABOR!)

Again this year, we are asking each family to donate a 24-pack of Pepsi products for fair week as a way to lower expenses. Bring the products to the Clover Café building on the fairgrounds on September 15-17 during wristband times.

    • Last names A: Sierra Mist
    • Last names B – D: Individual Bottled Water
    • Last names E – G: Diet Pepsi
    • Last names H – K: Dr. Pepper
    • Last names L – M: Pepsi
    • Last names N – T: Mt. Dew
    • Last names U – Z: Root Beer

We had a great first year and are looking forward to this year. It takes many volunteers to operate a successful food service. To schedule a time to work at the Café, please call Gerry or Denise at the Floral Chalet at 330-852-4510 or 1-800-829-4516. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated!

 Sincerely,

 4-H Fund Raising Committee
